Los Tigres Del Norte, Dan Ransom Bass

Here is a slightly vintage Dan Ransom bass custom made for Hernan Hernandez the bass player for Los Tigres Del Norte. Dan has built quite a few and each one has a unique "tiger" paint job painted by the bands painter.

Our own Trevor Healy on a Guitar Compilation

Our own Trevor Healy has a track on Beyond Berkeley Guitar, a record featuring some of the Bay Area's finest acoustic fingerstyle guitar players, which was just released on the Tompkins Square Label. Check the cd out, it is some damn fine guitar playing.

There is an interview with Trevor on the blog Work and Worry talking about the track and his repair and lutherie work.

A CD release show will happen on June 29th at Amnesia here in San Francisco. The show will have sets from all the guitarists featured on the compilation and starts at 8pm.

I found this photo on my computer and have no idea where it came from. In the 80's this is just the type of rig I would play. But a lot more wires and things all over the place.
